World Rules Pool Ladder
In Oxford, both in the local leagues and within the University, pool is played according to Blackball Rules. However, elsewhere in the country this is not the case, and competitions are played according to WEPF Official 'World Rules'. Importantly, the BUCS Pool Championships are played to World Rules, as is the Varsity Pool match when hosted every second year by Cambridge. OUPSC has therefore set up a World Rules Pool Ladder so that Oxford players can gain worthwhile match practice and become familiar with the various tactics and nuances involved. Anyone with aspirations of playing for the OUPSC Pool teams can join at any point through the year. Simply let us know you wish to join using the Contact Us page. - The World Rules Pool Ladder runs through the year to 5th week Trinity term.
- The top four players qualify for a play-off tournament in Trinity term to determine the World Rules Pool Ladder Champion.
